2020-21 Reno-Sanford Center for Aging-Marketing Director
 
 
 
The Sanford Center for Aging's "Enhancing Well-Being and Health Outcomes Among Older Adults VISTA Project" seeks to build capacity for Sanford Center for Aging programs and services through the development of a marketing and outreach strategy/plan. The level of poverty among older adults in Washoe County paired with lack of access to health, community and social resources can serve as a barrier to living a healthy and meaningful life. The VISTA member will help reduce the impact of poverty on older adults through raising awareness and reducing barriers to participation in Sanford Center for Aging programs and services.

Member Duties : The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator VISTA will grow the number of potential participants of all Sanford Center for Aging programs and services through increased awareness, visibility and accessibility of information and specific calls to action to larger audiences. The VISTA member will develop a strategic marketing plan (including social media) in collaboration with the Operations Coordinator of the Center and produce marketing communication materials. Further, the VISTA member will conduct outreach activities to local physician and provider offices, table at community events, and be present for select University of Nevada, Reno events. The VISTA member will also work in conjunction with Development and Alumni relations staff and Sanford Center for Aging leadership to develop a fund development plan to help foster philanthropic support for program sustainability and future growth.
