Legal Services Positions - JVC Northwest

You don’t need to go to law school to be able to serve your community by accompanying people and communities through the legal system. Jesuit Volunteers serve with public defenders, bar associations, with those seeking asylum, and with other immigrants. Whether through outreach or intake, your service can help you understand the challenges involved in navigating the legal system, and how those in the system can help people along the way. Your service will impact a community, but it will also impact you as you learn how systems shape individuals and communities. Gain experience as you find your purpose for the future. With 14 locales across Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, you can encounter a diversity of cultures among a diversity of landscapes. Jesuit Volunteers (JVs) live in community and engage in reflection throughout the year, so that their service ignites a life of purpose that serves the common good. In many of our locales, you can serve alongside Native American or Alaskan Native communities who are seeking to restore the land using sustainable practices. Follow us on Instagram @jvcnorthwest to get a glimpse of life as a JV, including where they serve. Search all our roles at https://jvcnorthwest.org/volunteer-opportunities/
