A Youth Homelessness Housing VISTA
 
 
 
In the last Point in Time Count, over 550 youth in Colorado were experiencing homelessness. This VISTA member's main goal will be to assist the Office of Homeless Youth Services (OHYS) located within Colorado's Division of Housing (DOH) in improving outcomes for youth in housing by helping to develop and implement a Tenant Satisfaction Survey, analyze the results, and make recommendations on how to improve DOH operated housing programs for youth. In addition, the VISTA may work on developing material to share with youth in housing so they understand their roles and rights. VISTA may also help develop a housing inventory chart with resources available to youth experiencing homelessness. Lastly, the VISTA member will help to increase awareness of the Advisory Council for Homeless Youth (ACHY) across the state and help increase membership on this group.

Member Duties : Responsibilities: 1. Develop and Implement a Tenant Satisfaction Survey 2. Identify and Develop resources to provide to youth in housing to help educate on their rights and roles in housing 3. Research youth housing programs in Colorado to develop a Housing Inventory Chart 4. Work with local partners to increase membership on the Advisory Council for Homeless Youth 5. Other priorities identified by local site and VISTA member.
