| Member Duties : Peer Navigators will meet one on one with veterans and military family members to provide "case management", that is help navigating complex social service systems so clients can access VA benefits and other assistance available from community based organizations. Clients will be seen as often as necessary to get their needs met. Additionally, AmeriCorps members will recruit/organize community volunteers to assist in their work or to participate in special service projects throughout the year. Applicants must be a veteran or an immediate family member of a veteran (spouse, brother, sister, father, mother, son, or daughter) to be eligible to serve as a Peer Navigator in this program.
