Community Engagement VISTA- South Franklin Community Center
 
 
 
The new center in Payson, Utah, aims to be a vibrant hub for both children and adults, offering a range of classes and events to foster personal and community growth. Like the United Way Center – South Franklin, this center will serve as a focal point for early education, literacy, and STEM programs, designed to provide essential tools and support for thriving in today’s world. It will connect neighbors and create opportunities for lifelong learning and development, enhancing educational access and community engagement in the area.

Member Duties : In this role, the member will build a community of support by engaging with local businesses, establishing a Parent Advisory Board, and gathering vital community insights to tailor programs effectively. The member will also facilitate the implementation and scaling of programs at the new location, ensuring their impact and effectiveness through improved tracking and evaluation methods. Additionally, the member will focus on financial sustainability by identifying new revenue sources, applying for small grants, and creating a robust donor engagement system. Their efforts will include developing compelling storytelling materials and engaging tours of the new center to showcase its mission and impact. By addressing poverty and breaking down economic barriers, the member will help empower underserved populations, foster lasting economic stability, and strengthen community ties, ultimately creating opportunities for those in need.
