Baltimore DPW Education and Volunteerism VISTA II
 
 
 
The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) supports the health, environment, and economy of Baltimore City and the region by providing stakeholders with safe drinking water and keeping neighborhoods and waterways clean.DPW's AmeriCorps VISTA program aims to educate and empower residents to engage in best practices in effort to create sustainable communities. DPW focuses on improving and enhancing waste reduction, water preservation, community engagement, education, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) for all Baltimore City residents and communities.

Member Duties : VISTA members will: 1. Conduct research-collecting data through focus groups, surveys and other metrics to generate recommendations and tools that will support monitoring and evaluation education and volunteerism programs. 2. Assess current and create new educational; and volunteerism programs, resources and best practices to engage internal and external stakeholders on sustainability and best practices. 3. Design outlines and templates for training modules and trainings, curriculum, and educational materials for marketing campaign strategies. 4. Identify potential grant opportunities and participate in grant writing in collaboration with DPW bureaus and offices.
