2024 Baltimore Rites of Passage Initiative VISTA
 
 
 
Are you passionate about seeing young men and boys connect to their history and culture via the life affirming experiences known as Rites of Passage? Then this project is for you! Join the MENTOR MD|DC team and support growing the project! This VISTA role will be integral to continuing to grow this project, after 3 years, into a stronger initiative, with more systems in place, more young people and men served and with a stronger story tell about the successes. The core of the VISTA work will administrative support along with fund and strategic partnership development. We are seeking a VISTA member who is both passionate about community and youth development, and also someone who is a self-starter, innovative in their thinking and excited about building systems and infrastructure for a fledgling organization that intends to serve the community for many years to come.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will support BROPI leadership in creating a number of systems and processes related to establishing the long-term viability of the initiative while supporting the groundwork for a solid organizational structure and potential standalone entity in the future. These tasks, projects and activities will include but not be limited to: Support coordination of ongoing training and engagement activities Interfacing with evaluators to ensure long term metric tracking, attendance, assessments, etc are complete Support the creation of sustain advisory council bylaws Support the council in follow up of action items related to operations Work with BROPI leadership to create and implement a fundraising strategy and accompanying action plan Work with BROPI leadership to create and implement a strategic partnership strategy and accompanying action plan
