Member Duties : Literacy Tutors
* Works with assigned at-risk for academic failure students as a reading tutor.
*Coaches students in identifying reading resources that fit their interests.
*Addresses food insecurity service community.
*Seeks opportunities to serve the school and other community organizations.
*Participates in Make a Difference Day, MLK Day of Service & AmeriCorps Week.
*Recruits and/or manages 10 volunteers.
*Speaks to civic organizations about experience in AmeriCorps service.
*Occasional overnight travel required for program required training.
*Reliable transportation required
*Occasional travel to program required meetings.
Youth Service Corps
*Addresses food insecurity service community.
*Seeks opportunities to serve the school and other community organizations.
*Recruits and/or manages volunteers.
*Speaks to civic organizations about experience in AmeriCorps service.
*Participates in required meetings.
