AECE - Community Engagement - City of Avondale

The purpose of Avondale Education & Community Engagement Initiative is to develop a comprehensive volunteer program designed to improve parent and community involvement in our K-8 schools. Our VISTA members will work collaboratively with local school districts, non-profit organizations and other stakeholders to generate creative solutions to engage volunteers in improving educational outcomes. Our VISTA members have the opportunity work on: grant writing, volunteer recruitment, program design, outreach/marketing, research and more.

Program Benefits : $300 Monthly Housing Stipend , Education award upon successful completion of service , Stipend , Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend , Housing , Relocation Allowance , Health Coverage* , Training , Living Allowance , Childcare assistance if eligible .
