Program Coordinator: Volunteer Management

Dedicated to ending homelessness in New Hampshire’s Capital city, the Concord Coalition serves nearly 700 unhoused individuals annually. It is estimated that there are almost 500 individuals in Merrimack County who are experiencing homelessness with two-thirds being long-term homeless and most meet the definition of chronically homeless. While it is estimated that only 20% of individuals who are homeless are chronically homeless, these individuals consume most of the community’s emergency services. You will be part of the solution to finding a forever home for adults experiencing chronic homelessness. Your organization, resourcefulness, and technical skills will only be outdone by your enthusiasm and interpersonal skills. This position requires the ability to work independently, work across agency teams, work with volunteers, and interact with clients to build the Coalitions service capacity. Our staff of 10 relies on over 100 volunteers to run our weekday drop-in center, emergency winter shelter, support our case managers with housing clients, maintain our properties and raise critical funds through two signature special events. Through this role you will develop your leadership, management, and networking skills. Learn how to utilize a constituent relationship management database and Microsoft 365, increase your communication and marketing skills, and build on your organizations skills. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and volunteer experience. Concord, the State capital and located in Merrimack County, has a vibrant downtown filled with restaurants, theatre, music, and the arts. Abundant with natural resources, the city has a network of trails for hiking and biking, farmland, and recreation areas. The surrounding towns are filled with quintessential New England charm and mountains, lakes, ocean, and Boston, MA, are only one hour away.
