Anti-Hunger and Opportunity Corps Summer Associate Program

The Anti-Hunger and Opportunity Corps (AHOC) is an AmeriCorps VISTA project sponsored by Hunger Free America and funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the Walmart Foundation and the Pepsico Foundation. This national project operates two programs, one for a full-year and the other for just the summer, called the Summer Associate program. Both the full-year and Summer Associates work in both rural and urban areas across the country as part of a public-private partnership to improve access to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly Food Stamps), the Summer Food Service Program, and other anti-hunger programs for Americans in need. Please note that this program is seeking individuals able to start the program on June 6, 2016. If unable to start on that day, Hunger Free America may not be able to host you as a Summer Associate in 2016. Hunger Free America's partners across the country are seeking qualified candidates to serve as AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate members. The foci of this program are to assist in the administration, implementation, access, and quality of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP); collaborate with partner agencies to host USDA program awareness sessions, and provide support to organizations assisting low-income community members in accessing benefits; and/or improve awareness of nutritious food through farmers’ markets and community gardens, and/or expand nutrition education offerings by creating materials and/or conducting trainings. If you're truly interested in serving with us this summer, submit your application by clicking the "submit" button below. Once you submit your application go to our survey to get a better understanding of how we can help you find a partner to serve with this summer. Survey link: http://goo.gl/forms/QiZRPxsABq.
