Native Food Sovereignty Fellows-FDL

The Native Food Sovereignty Fellows program will deploy a cadre of VISTA members to sites located throughout Indian Country to include Tribes in the Alaska, Rocky Mountain, Great Plains, Midwest, Southwest, Northwest, and Eastern Oklahoma, BIA Regions. We will place one or two VISTA members at each site where they will work on issues related to food security, economic sustainability, community resilience, health, and overall food sovereignty. VISTA members will work with the host site and the Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative to develop and implement capacity building food sovereignty projects, and a system of data metrics to measure project success.
